Leather Cleaning
October 13, 2009
Maintaining your leather upholstery will prolong the life and feel of your leather. Leather Cleaning products are available, and should be used every change of season. The products which you buy from the retailers are to be used as a maintenance process to maintain your leather. The products used by certified trained operators are more aggressive and remove a lot more of the oily residue that those maintenance cleaners can not remove. Recommendation for leather cleaning is 12 to 18 months between professional cares. We are trained and qualified through the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification and through Leather Master Australia. Cleaning and protection should go hand in hand. Identifying the type of leather also is very important. There are different types of leather and therefore different types of cleaners available. 95% of our market is protected leather.
Protected leather has a polyurethane coating to protect the protected leather which is very porous. Then the leather protection cream is applied to protect the polyurethane coating. Oils and abrasions wear down this protection cream over time and then start to wear down the polyurethane coating. If the polyurethane coating wears out, you are left with the dirt inside the colour of the protected leather and this is when you start to need a restoration process. The leather cleaning and restoration process requires stripping the leather back and re-dyeing then re-coating.
Allergy cleaning for carpets and mattresses

Hi I’m Martin, the oldest person in the office, but what is age anyway – just a number.
I’m the Commercial and Residential Coordinator for All Aces Services and I’ve been working for Carmel, Garry and the All Aces team for 3 months.
Im qualified in Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning through the The Clean Trust / IICRC .
Over the last few months I’ve learnt a lot about our customer needs and have been able
to offer solutions to our customer’s problems, whether it’s a carpet, Rug, upholstery or tile and grout cleaning.
Recently a customer called inquiring asking if there was anything that all Aces Services
could offer allergy cleaning since she had been suffering from allergies for some time.
Her carpet was new this year and had been cleaned by another carpet cleaner 3 months ago, that she was not happy with, he left it wet and sticky with chemical.
She was also concerned that her bedroom and in particular her mattress may have been
contributing to her allergies.
I recommended to the customer that she adopt allergy cleaning with an allergen control plan and I booked an All Aces technician to clean her bedroom carpet and mattress using Responsible care allergy free cleaning products for her bedroom carpets and mattress. To follow up with a treatment of Dust mite anti-allergen on her mattress and carpet to neutralize the feaces from the dust mites, to de-nature the allergans between regular cleaning of her mattress at least every 6 months.
The All Aces Services technician also recommended the customer purchase a good quality sebo vacuum cleaner with extremely high hepa filtration system that she could trust to remove dust, dirt, polutants and allergy-causing particles without recirculating it into her living areas and performing allergy cleaning result.

Graffiti & Vandalism Removal
October 5, 2009
So it is yet another month and daylight savings is here and I woke up an hour earlier than I had to this morning! It has been a little quiet with water damage in the last month but we were called out by one of our biggest clients to attend Corinda State School. Some of you may have heard about the damages caused at this school over the school holidays on the news or radio.
Several blocks of classrooms and school property including computers were damaged from paint and soft drink. Paint was thrown across blackboards, walls, windows, carpet and vinyl flooring.
The job happened last week and we attended straight away as the school was quite distressed as school was going back on Monday and they needed their classrooms. So we went and removed paint from the carpet and vinyl in one block as this was all that was affected first. Then on Saturday afternoon I received a phone call letting me know that the school had been hit again! I rang the principal straight away and arranged cleaners to attend on Sunday to clean walls, windows and blackboards in another block that had been affected.
We have attended to several schools in the last month all graffiti related work. At one school we had to remove graffiti from a shed wall and roof which was colour bond. This was a difficult job as the sun had baked the paint onto the colour bond but we achieved 100% removal. We also removed mould from ceiling panels and joints at another school. Removed graffiti from exterior from Calamvale Police Station and attended a major sewerage job at the Spring Hill Ambulance Call Centre.
