Rug Cleaning and Rug Dyeing

Do you have a 100% woollen rug on which there are stains from the kids and/or pets?  Have you had professional rug cleaning but found that the stains have destroyed the wool fibres and won’t come out? What do you do? You don’t really want to throw out the rug so are there any other options?

You should think about rug dyeing. This will eliminate all of your problems. Firstly it will save you money on purchasing a new rug and secondly you have the chance to even change the colour if you’d like to.

When thinking about rug cleaning and dyeing your rug there are some questions you should ask yourself:

  1. How much did the rug cost?
  2. How much will it cost to replace the rug?
  3. What colour or result do you want to achieve?

When dyeing a rug, the main colours we can use are your stronger colours like greens, greys, blacks, and blues etc. Unfortunately we can’t dye with lighter colours such as cream or beige.

In the photos you’ll see two different rugs, one is being dyed green and the other charcoal. The green rug had the latex glue coming through from the backing that had caused a permanent orange/yellow staining which cannot be removed. We performed thorough rug cleaning then dyed numerous times to achieve the results the customer wanted.

On the 2nd rug you’ll notice all of the brown stains. These are actually urine stains and they have damaged the fibres in the rug. The customer wanted to keep the rug about the same colour so what we have done is spot dyeing on the stains to turn the brown into a grey then we applied a different shade of grey to blend the colour in.

At the moment we are doing tests on ways to dye other fibres like viscose which is a synthetic fibre. Once we have found a way to dye these fibres I will have more photos to show you.

Rug dyeing is not a complicated procedure so if you want to save your rug, don’t hesitate in thinking about this option. If you have any questions about rug dyeing or rug cleaning, please contact the rug dyeing experts at All Aces Services on 1800 00 1010.

Fringe Treatments and Rug Cleaning

You’re at a restaurant and you’ve ordered this fantastic steak. How does this relate to rug cleaning? Bare with me and I’ll explain. The first thing you notice when the plate is brought to the table is that you look at how well the plate is presented. You notice all of the garnishes and without those final touches the plate would look very dull. If something looks appealing to the eye, you’re attracted to it even more.

Now let’s relate this to your dear old rug at home. The rug hasn’t been cleaned for many years and has general soiling. The “garnish” on your rug, the fringes, are looking brown and not very appealing.

How do you make the final touches on your rug look fantastic? It’s called fringe treatment. First we clean your rug using our 13 step deluxe rug cleaning process. Once the rug is dry we carefully apply a specialised cleaning solution to a small section of your fringes, then we apply steam and extract the cleaning solution out. And look at the difference:
If your fringes look clean the whole rug looks amazing.Fringe whitening 0012 300x225 Fringe Treatments and Rug Cleaning

We can do a fringe treatment on all types of rugs no matter what state the fringes are in. Next time you book your rug cleaning at All Aces Services ask our staff what else can be done to make your rug look new again. We service the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Brisbane area and our factory is just located at Murarrie.

Just remember the fringes are the foundation of your rug so look after them well and have rug cleaning and fringe treatment done annually.
