How To Find A Good Carpet Cleaner

January 16, 2012

January 5, 2011 — The owner of a massage business, located in Herston Brisbane, called All Aces Services requesting our carpet cleaning services. One of her employees, a massage therapist, had spilt oil on the carpet of one of the bedrooms, leaving the carpet soiled and markedly stained.

The employee had already called a different carpet cleaner earlier, but they had done more harm than good. The cleaners left the carpet dripping wet, sticky, with a noticeably different texture from the rest of the carpet in the room.

The owner seemed to have a real carpet emergency, and so, we decided to help by immediately sending a carpet cleaner to her property in Herston.

When the technician inspected the soiled carpet, it had small marks, with some discolouration. Based on his expert assessment, our carpet cleaning technician suggested that the Deluxe Carpet Cleaning Package would be enough to correct the carpet damage in the room, and soon thereafter, all the marks were removed and the carpet was restored back to its original colour that matched the colour of the rest of the carpet in the room. The client was absolutely overjoyed, to say the least.

It turned out that the earlier carpet cleaner contacted by her employee was not able to present any certification or any proof of training. When these documents were requested, the cleaners left rather promptly, perhaps because they probably didn’t acquire any formal training on carpet cleaning.

Unfortunately, carpet cleaning is a poorly regulated industry. Multiple entities can easily pretend to be certified or trained in providing carpet cleaning services without fear of being apprehended. The only way to make sure that you get and pay for only what you deserve, contact ONLY certified and trained professionals to provide your carpet cleaning needs. Because, you might end up spending more, and your carpet might look more damaged than before.

Several companies have been caught copying The Clean Trust symbol (formerly the IICRC) on their carpet cleaning web site. That is why, in these modern ages, it’s quite hard to be sure you are getting a legitimately certified and registered carpet cleaner. So, you can be sure that you get only quality and efficient services by certified and highly trained professionals in carpet cleaning, visit The Clean Trust website and find a registered carpet cleaning firm in your area.

You may also visit the All Aces Services website or give us a call on 1800 00 10 10 so you can check-out the appropriate carpet cleaning services that would suit your needs. There’s also a section that shares the comments and testimonials given by our happy clients, because with All Aces Services, customer satisfaction is guaranteed!

At All Aces Services we receive calls all the time about stains on carpet, as unfortunately mishaps occur from time to time. We can sometimes get a little carried away with trying to treat the stains ourselves.remove coffee stain carpet1 Carpet Stain Removal and Coffee Spills

We recently had a call from a customer located at the Sunshine Coast, in Kuluin. She had nice wool carpet in her house and had not had a chance or even really considered protecting her carpet with carpet protection. Her grandson had just spilled a cup of coffee on the carpet creating a nice big stain.

Now let me explain the problem with coffee and what it does to wool carpet. Coffee is a dye stain. Wool is an acid dyed carpet, which means it is dyed with an acid dye. So in fact the coffee re-dyes the fibre of the carpet. Therefore you can get the idea that general carpet cleaning alone would not remove the stain.

Fortunately for our client she did the right thing even though it was a Saturday afternoon, she rang our office straight away. We were able to have one of our most experienced technicians located at the Sunshine Coast sent to her house within 2 hrs. It took our technician a while to remove the stain 100% as he had to remove the coffee dye from the carpet without removing the actual colour of the carpet.

Not only are all of our technicians at All Aces Services fully qualified through the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification but so are all of our office staff. This means you can be guaranteed that all of our staff know exactly what they are doing and we back them with our 100% money back guarantee.

Next time you have a little mishap with coffee or other stains on your carpet make sure you ring the experts immediately. Contact All Aces Services on 1800 00 1010 and you will be guaranteed that your carpets are in great hands and you will get the best result possible for coffee or stain removal.

Paint Removal from Carpet – Carpet Stain Removal

A very distressed customer from Carina in Brisbane called us after a home improvement accident in the home had occurred on his carpet.blue paint 300x263 Paint Removal from Carpet Carpet Stain Removal

The challenge : Cream coloured Acrylic Carpet vs Blue Paint

While painting an area within the home, paint had accidentally leaked across the carpet.  Approximately 30 spots of water based paint had dripped over the carpet.  We attended to the property within 1 hour of receiving the call.  The paint spots had hardened and dried into small balls in the fibre.

By rinsing the affected area, this began to moisten the paint in the carpet fibers. By using a spray bottle with warm water and focusing on the more difficult spots, dwelling time allowed the paint to soften and be extracted from the carpet. More spots proved to be more difficult than others due to the amount of paint, but with a lot of patience and persistence, all the paint spots were removed.

Our customer did the best thing you could do in a situation such as this, he called a professional.  By not attempting to remove the paint himself or agitate the spots by rubbing at them and potentially causing more damage, we were able to remove the paint out of the carpet 100%.

If you have a stain emergency in Brisbane, Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast, contact All Aces Services immediately or call us on 1800 00 1010. We are here to help with your spot and stain removal.

How clean is your mattress

March 15, 2011

You have had a long day at work you’re not feeling well.  You are tired and run down and all you want is a good night’s sleep.  You always see on TV and read in magazines about the debate on which is good for you : too much or too little sleep.  The real question that should be asked : is your mattress healthy to sleep on?

Every night the human body loses approximately 1 litre of body fluid through the skin, pores and mouth as well as millions of skin flakes.  Just think of it this way, we all have showers each day, we all wash our clothes, what about the mattress?  How many bugs and germs does our mattress contain?

A mattress that is not protected with a cover will have an infestation of dust mites within 3 months.  Not only dust mites but body oils, sweat, fats and DEAD SKIN – gross!  We recently got called to a job where the owner had rented out his fully furnished unit in New Farm.  The tenants had never picked up a broom or a vacuum cleaner once during their stay.

He generously supplied the tenants with a brand new mattress protector – which they kept neatly in the cupboard in the original packaging for the 2 years.  Our technician arrived and he had two queen size and two single mattresses.  Well lets say, who knows if they even put sheets on the bed.Humanurineandbloodonmattress20004small 300x224 How clean is your mattress

There were:

  • Urine stains
  • Blood stains
  • Food Stains
  • Drink stains
  • Body odour
  • Oils
  • Fats

You can see for yourself by just taking a look at the photos.Humanurineandbloodonmattress20001small 300x224 How clean is your mattress

Humanurineandbloodonmattress20011small 300x224 How clean is your mattress

Unfortunately these mattresses were not able to be restored so this owner lost a lot of money due to the tenant not using the protectors and not having the mattress cleaned frequently.

It is recommended that every time you change your sheets you should be vacuuming your mattress at the same time.  You should have your mattress cleaned every year and treated for dust mites.

You spend approximately one third of your life in your bed, so it makes good sense to keep them clean.  Sleep tight and don’t let the bed bugs bite!

Blood Stain Removal

February 8, 2011

We recently had a client from Camp Hill who rang us very distressed as his mum had had an accident and there was blood all over her single mattress and on the carpet.  He was worried that not only did he have the stress of his mother being in hospital but he thought he would have to replace the mattress and the carpet for when his mother did return from the hospital.  As you can see from the “before” photo, the carpet and the mattress were in a bit of a mess.

The best thing the customer had done was not to try and use any carpet cleaning or stain removal products from the supermarket.  If customers do use other products on stains it can set the stain and hinder how well our products do work.  All of our technicians are trained and qualified through the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification.  This allows our technicians to provide expert stain removal and fibre identification.

If you follow this link to the Stain Removal page on our website, you can watch a video of our technicians in action.

We sent one of our most experienced technicians out to do the job.  With his professional stain removal kit he removed the stains.  The stains did take a couple of hours but they were removed 100% as you can see from the pictures.  The customer was over the moon as we saved him from having to buy a new mattress and installing new carpet.

Things to remember when you have a similar situation:

  • Don’t use products from the supermarkets.  These products are not designed for all types of carpets and can react with your stain.
  • Don’t use home remedies as they can also react with your stain.
  • Leave your stain to the professionals – this can save you money and stress.

Home Pro Spotter for Carpet Stain Removal

January 15, 2010

I bet that over the Festive Season someone dropped something or spilled something on the carpet or the lounge suite.

We had a wonderful Christmas lunch of which we enjoyed Roast Turkey with delicious gravy – that Garry actually ended up spilling across the floor – yes I yelled – but it was OK, we have our own bottle of Home Pro Spotter under the sink ready to go. I made Garry clean the mess up – and then we blotted the spotter on the carpet and you would even know he spilt anything on it!

Most carpets in every home are value between $3000-$10 000 and most people go straight for anything in a bright shiny bottle saying – Carpet Magic, Super Dooper Carpet Cleaner.. blah blah blah. These products can actually BLEACH the carpet and make it even worse than what you started with.  If you had a expensive suit or dress that you have spilt something on you would even think about trying to remove it yourself, you would take it straight to the professional cleaners for them to deal with it.. wouldn’t you??

The same applies to your carpet. If you are going to use a product make sure it is the Home Pro Spotter.

The benefits of using the Home Pro Spotter is that it doesn’t leave a residue on the Carpet for dirt or soiling to be attracted too. It will not take colour from your carpet or lounge suite and it will not harm any of the delicate fibres or fabrics that you have in the home.home pro spotter Home Pro Spotter for Carpet Stain Removal

If you don’t have a bottle of Home Pro Spotter – drop by the Morningside factory and collect one.

Make sure the Home Pro Spotter is the only thing that you use on spots or spills – call us for advice if you get stuck or log on to www.allaces.com.au for more cleaning advice
You are in safe hands with the Home Pro Spotter

Myths About Red Wine….

January 15, 2010

Uh oh! You’ve spilt red wine on your carpet, rug or upholstery? What to do? First thing to do is not to panic, there is always more red wine!!  Second thing to do is read about what to do, below…. Old wives tales may cause you more damage….redwinespill 300x203 Myths About Red Wine....

1. Act Quickly Many Stains can easily be removed when they are fresh, but can be stubborn if left over a long period of time.  The best thing to do is soak up as much as you can with a white towel or cloth.  AVOID using salt or talcum powder on the stain.  A lot of articles advise these methods are great to just sprinkle on and vacuum up later…. What they don’t tell you is  that this can in fact set the stain further or bleach the carpet.

2. Don’t rush to scrub  When we say act quickly and attend to the stain, this doesn’t mean attack the stain with any and all household products and a brush.  Depending on the fibre, the household products as well as scrubbing the stain can in fact cause irriversible fibre damage and colour loss in some cases.

3. Washing the stain  Adding soda water to a red wine stain will not assist with removing the stain.  This will merely spread the stain through the underlay and make a larger area where the stain will need to be removed.  Don’t always assume that the carpet or upholstery can be washed – always read the label first.

4. Call a professional  It is important to speak with a professional regarding stain removal.  It is recommended that the technicians are trained are certified through the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration.  This will ensure that they know the most effective and safe way to remove the stain from your carpet.  Some carpets that come out of a factory can be acid dyed.  As red wine is an acid dye it will change the colour of the carpet, this can make it difficult to remove.

Any further questions? Jump online and ask our panel of experts on www.cleaningadvice.com.au   They will be able to assist you with questions relating to carpet, upholstery, rugs and much more!

Graffiti & Vandalism Removal

October 5, 2009

So it is yet another month and daylight savings is here and I woke up an hour earlier than I had to this morning! It has been a little quiet with water damage in the last month but we were called out by one of our biggest clients to attend Corinda State School. Some of you may have heard about the damages caused at this school over the school holidays on the news or radio.

Several blocks of classrooms and school property including computers were damaged from paint and soft drink. Paint was thrown across blackboards, walls, windows, carpet and vinyl flooring.

The job happened last week and we attended straight away as the school was quite distressed as school was going back on Monday and they needed their classrooms. So we went and removed paint from the carpet and vinyl in one block as this was all that was affected first. Then on Saturday afternoon I received a phone call letting me know that the school had been hit again! I rang the principal straight away and arranged cleaners to attend on Sunday to clean walls, windows and blackboards in another block that had been affected.

We have attended to several schools in the last month all graffiti related work. At one school we had to remove graffiti from a shed wall and roof which was colour bond. This was a difficult job as the sun had baked the paint onto the colour bond but we achieved 100% removal. We also removed mould from ceiling panels and joints at another school. Removed graffiti from exterior from Calamvale Police Station and attended a major sewerage job at the Spring Hill Ambulance Call Centre.
